Frieze Board
A horizontal trim board at the top of a wall, immediately below the soffit, providing a transition between siding and the roof overhang.
In Detail
The frieze board provides a clean termination point for the top course of siding and conceals the joint between the wall and soffit. It's typically the same thickness as the siding or slightly thicker. Install before soffit panels; the soffit slides over or behind the frieze.
