Ice & water shield is the last line of defense — a self-sealing membrane that prevents water intrusion even when water backs up under shingles. New York State building code requires it on all eaves in our snow zone.

Full valley coverage, minimum 36″ wide

Plumbing vents, chimneys, skylights — seal around all roof penetrations

Where roof slope drops below 4:12 — extended ice dam coverage recommended
