VOC (Volatile Organic Compound)

Carbon-based chemicals that evaporate at room temperature, releasing gases that affect indoor air quality and can contribute to smog formation.

In Detail

VOCs are measured in grams per liter (g/L) and regulated by the EPA, CARB, and local air quality districts. Low-VOC adhesives and sealants (below 50 g/L) are required in many jurisdictions and recommended for indoor use. Construction adhesives typically range from 20–70 g/L.
